Polk County Talk is growing beyond its name while staying true to its roots.

As we launch our new digital news platform, our coverage will expand across Polk, Angelina, Tyler, Liberty, San Jacinto and Walker counties, bringing readers more of the stories that affect everyday life throughout our part of East Texas.

Local News With a Regional Reach

Our goal is simple: make it easier for East Texans to know what is happening around them.

Coverage will include local government, schools, business, public safety, community events, entertainment, sports, outdoor news and important developments from across the region.

Polk County will remain at the heart of Polk County Talk, but our community has never stopped at the county line. People throughout East Texas work together, shop together, attend the same events, travel the same highways and enjoy the same lakes and forests.

Our news coverage should reflect that.

More Than Headlines

The new Polk County Talk will combine original reporting, interviews, video, community information and selected regional news to give readers one convenient place to stay informed.

And this is only the beginning.
